About Kate Molloy-Litt

You bring the vision. I'll spot the patterns and show you the possibilities.

I'll take everything you've built so far, pull it all together, and turn it into a website that makes your ambitions easier to reach. When I take on your project, your goals become mine, and I'll go above and beyond to hit them.

The way I work is built around one idea: by the end, you should need me less, not more.

About Kate

Where I started

Before websites were my job, marketing was. I've been doing hands-on marketing since before 'digital' was part of anyone's job title.

In-house, across retail, a trade federation, insurance and housing, turning plans into materials, campaigns, company magazines and intranet pages. I also ran the stationery cupboard in one role, and I want it known that it was the best-run cupboard in the building.

Years of making marketing happen from inside a team taught me something no agency background could: what it's like when a project lands on your desk on top of the job you already have.

The people I work with now are usually in exactly that position. I plan and build for them.

How the building started

I built my first website in 2010, on Yahoo's old site builder, for a craft business I was running at the time. It was clunky and I loved it.

I taught myself better tools and kept going.

I founded The Vintage Directory, a printed magazine and online directory I designed, built and ran myself, all while raising a young family. That grew into the National Vintage Awards, where I created the brand, built the voting website, and ran the whole thing single-handedly for two years, before selling it as a going concern.

I didn't plan that path, but it turned out to be the useful one: I've been the strategist, the builder and the owner, all in the same week. It's also why I start every piece of work with the same three questions. What is this website for? What do your plans need from it? And what's in the way?

I've run QUAFF Digital, my agency of one, since 2020, working with businesses and organisations across Birmingham and beyond; the case studies on this site come from that work, and QUAFF today focuses on hosting and care plans. In October 2022

I earned the IDM Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing, studied alongside a full client load and a young family, with the final exam sat online mid-Covid. I'm proud of that one. It was hard, and it was worth it.

How I work.

Honestly, especially about trade-offs.

Good work takes time or money, usually both, and anyone promising cheap, fast and good all at once is going to let you down on at least one.

I'd rather tell you what a piece of work genuinely needs. You'll always know where you stand, and the work that goes ahead will be the work worth doing.

Transparently, the whole way through.

You'll always know where your project is: what's done, what's next, and what I'm waiting on.

If a problem or a delay is on the horizon, you'll hear about it from me first, with a plan attached. And everything I produce for you lives where you can reach it, because it's yours.

Around your actual capacity.

A website project always lands on top of everyone's day job, and pretending otherwise is how projects stall.

I plan the work around what your team can genuinely take on, sequenced so it survives your busy periods as well as mine.

For your independence.

Everything I diagnose, plan or build comes with the training to run it yourself.

You handle the routine, I step in for the genuinely complex, and if you need me less next year than you do today, I'll consider that a job done properly.

Wondering whether this would work for your organisation?

That's exactly what a Clarity Call is for. Book here.
